1. What does rinsada do?

   rinsada irrigates the entire ocular surface. It has shown to statistically reduce MMP-9 on the ocular surface and improve patient symptoms. In our studies, we saw a greater than 70% reduction in MMP-9 and more than 40% of patients converted to negative MMP-9 after a rinsada rinse.

2. Why would I adopt rinsada into my practice?

   Patients who see us with eye irritation are often seeking an immediate intervention. We as eye physicians have all developed our own algorithm to best treat the ocular surface. Think of rinsada as an accessory to what you are already doing. rinsada provides immediate relief, improves patient satisfaction, and doesn’t interfere with your clinical workflow. If we believe that ocular surface inflammation plays a role in pathology, reducing inflammatory load via ocular rinsing with rinsada makes it a logical next step.

3. How do I bill rinsada?

   We recommend discussing with your billing team about appropriate coding. However, in line with other procedures on the market, this could be considered an out of pocket procedure.

4. Why does rinsada work?

   The palpebral conjunctiva traps inflammation onto the ocular surface. When dysregulated, this leads to a buildup of biofilm. By aiming fluid at the palpebral conjunctiva and fornix, rinsada successfully rinses away irritants and microparticulate matter from this physiologically vital tissue.

5. How does rinsada affect my workflow in the office?
   rinsada is meant to be efficient in its setup and delivery. Before a patient leaves their visit, the procedure can be done in the exam chair, with minimal equipment and still keep you on time!

6. Is the investment in rinsada worth it to my patients and practice?

   Yes. As a practice owner, I wanted to make sure the device did not have high capital costs. The device has a three-year shelf life, and would expect a return on investment of a box of 50 devices once the 21st eye was rinsed. For patients, rinsada is attractive as it can be the lowest priced treatment on the market.
